I took so many pictures in and around Cape Girardeau and I’m just realizing that many will not make it into individual blog posts. These are photos of the historic downtown, the riverfront, and other places we visited that became favorites.

Cape Girardeau truly is charming and I hope my photos have done it justice. My family and I absolutely enjoyed our time there.
My family’s trip to Cape Girardeau was provided by Cape Girardeau CVB and its partners. All words and opinions, as always, are my own.
Wow, all neat photos. I love the Courthouse on the hill.
Thanks, Raul!
I love these Norman Rockwell type of towns. Sadly, they’re becoming fewer and farther in between… I didn’t expect to find a town named “Cape” in Missouri!
Yep, a slice of Americana here, Deej.
The only Inland Port in the World!
Oh, Lucia is growing up so fast! Such a cute photo of her. I really love the mill photo, too. What a cool-looking town.
Thanks, Leah. Even I can’t get over what a big girl Lucia has become. It’s going by TOO fast.
very cute pictures! also, the murals in the first totally remind me of the ones of pawnee in parks & recreation… except less violent haha
Will you break up with me if I say that I’ve never seen Parks & Recreation??
Loving Lucia’s hello kitty bag! Very cute! I love the mural wall in your first pic!
OF COURSE Lola loves the Hello Kitty bag!! 🙂
Great photo essay! It made me want to go there, so one more beautiful place on my wish list! 🙂
So happy to hear that, Monique! That means my work here is done.
I just love Small Town America, especially if there are train tracks… Such cute pictures. And Lucia looks like a seasoned traveler!
Yes, there definitely is something about Small Town America… Lucia doesn’t care where we travel. She loves to just GO!
More greatness from the little river town just up the road from me in Memphis. You’re teaching me about Cape!
Yay! That makes me so happy, Lance!
Great photos….its certainly a picturesque town. They’re even filming the latest Ben Affleck movie there!
I know, Adam…. so exciting for the people of Cape!
